The experience

A day trip to Puerto Almanza, a small fishing village 75 km from Ushuaia.

We set out on National Route 3 among the Andes, Fuegian forests and peat valleys. We continue on gravel Route J to Laguna Victoria for a coffee break. From Bahía Brown we can see Navarino Island (Chile), then follow Route K to our destination.

Puerto Almanza grew around an old sawmill; today its residents live from small-scale fishing and harvesting king crab and shellfish from the Beagle Channel. We have lunch with local flavors and finish with an easy walk to the Cascada del Duende waterfall.

Exclusive perk: book this tour with us and get 50% off cold-weather clothing rental.
